DP Augusta is a U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) operating out of The Georgia Cyber Center in Augusta, Georgia providing executive consulting and advisory services to business executives and technology leaders. Our primary focus is providing business value to organizations through effective strategic planning, technology modernization, customer experience, and business process improvement initiatives. Our founder’s experience of over 30 years within the Department of Defense, Executive Branch, Legislative Branch and Federal Law Enforcement provides a unique perspective in the operational and administrative use of technology today and into the future.
A Little History?
The name “DP Augusta” is a Trade Name for the formal company, Digital Partnerships of Augusta, LLC. The “DP” not only represents an abbreviation of the original company, but pays homage to the former U.S. Navy Enlisted Rating of Data Processing Technician, or “DP”, which was the founder’s first rating during his service. The symbol of the Navy “DP” was a gear and quill. The gear represented the technical aspects of the job, while the quill represented the administrative or accounting aspect.
In business a quill symbolizes written communication, lasting impact, precision, and authenticity because it represents the careful crafting of documents that define relationships, strategies, and legacies, like how historical treaties and constitutions were signed. It also signifies expertise and authority, identifying scribes and those with administrative power, while its historical use in heartfelt letters connects it to sincerity and thoughtful communication.
